Our Commitment to Health & Safety During COVID-19

To Our Passengers
Safely transporting our passengers remains the primary concern of Total Transit, operating as totalride. We have built our reputation by putting the safety and welfare of both our passengers and driver partners at the forefront of everything we do. Since passengers depend upon us to provide safe transportation, when a potential threat, such as the COVID-19 virus presents itself, we have a responsibility to act.

Our Approach
We are monitoring reports from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and other government agencies to stay updated on the evolving situation. We continue to provide guidance to all employees, including but not limited to bus operators, independent contractor driver partners, employee drivers and office staff regarding vehicle and personal cleanliness. All guidance has been based on information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) and includes information on hand washing, ways to clean and sanitize their vehicles, recommendations on staying healthy, and guidelines on what to do if you feel ill.

Related to this, the CDC recently introduced specific health recommendations for rideshare drivers that cover everyday prevention, when and how to clean your car, ways to limit contact during a ride, and more.

Reducing Risk
According to the most recent guidance from the CDC, the immediate risk of being exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to be low for most people. However, in an effort to reduce the risk to our passengers and drivers we have taken the following steps to mitigate the potential spread of the virus across all of our locations:

  • Distributed training materials to drivers and other employees highlighting CDC guidelines for controlling the spread of viruses.
  • Enacted enhanced vehicle cleanliness and disinfection protocols during daily and weekly upkeep as well as increasing frequency of vehicle inspections.
  • Established an executive committee to assure all of the above activities are fully implemented in all of our locations.

Our Promise
Total Transit Enterprises, LLC., operating as totalride is closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization’s assessments of the outbreak.

Thank you for your continued trust and patience as we face this challenge together. We look forward to continually serving you and your family.

Sincerely,

Reno Navarette
